How do I book my Chair cover hire with you?
Booking with us is very easy. Once you have contacted us to confirm availability we will ask you to fill in the booking form and ask for a deposit of £100 so that we can secure your date and booking. We accept payment by cheque made to Something Borrowed Weddings. We will then confirm your payment and booking details in writing. We will contact you again 4 weeks prior to your celebration to confirm final numbers and arrange an invoice for the remaining balance to be paid.
What areas do you cover?
We are able to supply our chair covers and sashes throughout the Southwest. We offer a professional fitting service Free..! Delivery & Collection is free within the 30 mile radius from Minehead, further will a 50p a mile from outside the radius.
Will the chair covers fit my chair?
We have lots of different size loose cotton covers to fit most banquet chairs and we also have lycra close fit covers that will stretch to fit the majority of chairs whether they are round back, square back, folding chairs, dining chairs, plastic chairs or stacking chairs. The covers are creaseless, lightweight, soft and smooth. These covers are perfect for the DIY service as no ironing is required.
What is the difference between loose cotton covers and close fitting covers?
Loose covers hang on the chairs whereas close fitting covers stretch onto the chairs.
Our close fitting covers are perfect to be sent in the post as they don't crease and therefore require no ironing.
Are you able to set-up our chair covers for us at our venue?
Yes, our friendly team can call to your venue and dress your chairs for free! within the 30 mile radius from Minehead, outside the radius is 50p a mile.
How far in advance should I book?
Our dates get booked up fast, when it comes to weddings it is never too early – so the sooner the better! However, we do have enough stock and flexibility to accommodate a last minute booking so please do not hesitate to contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your date.
Do I have to pay a damage deposit?
A fully refundable damage/loss deposit of £100 is required when you book. Accidental spillage of food & drink and marks from guests are acceptable. However, any damages caused purposely, resulting in rips or tears of any kind, candle wax, footprints on seats, burns or drawing/s of any kind will incur a full replacement cost charge which is £10 per chair cover and £2 per sash. Damage deposits are always returned within 3 working days after the safe return of the covers/sashes.
Can I change the amount of chair covers after I have booked?
Yes, we understand that it is difficult to predict final numbers and that is why we allow changes up to 2 weeks before your event and don’t mind changing your invoice as many times as necessary.
Can I order samples?
Yes, we are happy to send a sample chair cover & bow for a fee of £10. Once they are returned your deposit will be sent back to you or if you book with us the £10 will be deducted from your balance.

For the DIY service
How easy are the chair covers and sashes to fit?
They are very simple to fit, the chair covers stretch to fit the majority of chairs. The sash bows are also simple to do and look great with very little effort. It will take aproximately 2 hours for two people to fit 100 chair covers. We can even deliver a few days early if needed, so you can have a practice run.
Are the sashes difficult to tie?
No, they are very easy to tie. The Organza ones are easier to tie and the Satin ones requiring a little more time.
When will the covers be delivered and picked up?
If you are using our DIY service then the covers and sashes will be delivered by courier at least 2 days before your celebration and collected the next working day after the celebration.
If you are using our professional set up service then we will liaise directly with your venue to arrange delivery, set up and collection, saving you time and hassle.
What is the courier fee?
We use a very reliable courier company that will deliver to your home address or venue at least 2 working days before your celebration and collect the next working day after your celebration. The charge for this service is £40.00 or you are welcome to collect from the Minehead area.
Our courier service for up to 100 covers plus bows is £45 delivery and collection.
Up to 150 £60. For 150 - 200 covers and sashes £70.
Can we collect them from you?
Yes you can. This will save you the courier fee. We are 5 - 10 minutes drive off Junction 24 of the M5, depending on tractors. You will just need to return them back to us after your wedding.
